Unless otherwise notified in writing, the initial hearing date and time is listed on the citation. If the Probate calendar does not show the name, the Probate Traffic page says to call Probate Court to verify the court date.

Pay or Contest Tickets
For Probate Court matters that do not require in-person appearance, fines may be paid online at EZCourtPay or by calling 800-262-0128. In-person Probate traffic payments are made at 102 N. College Street, Hamilton, GA 31811, bottom floor, Room 116. Probate Court accepts credit card, debit card, cash, or money order. Credit and debit card use adds a convenience fee. Personal checks are not accepted.
If a charge requires court appearance, a defendant may waive arraignment, plead not guilty, and request a bench trial or jury trial without coming to court by contacting Probate Court. That school-zone route should be used only for Hamilton school-zone speed violations, not every Harris County traffic citation.

What Traffic Records Show
A Harris County traffic court record is the local case record for the citation. It may show the citation number, offense, officer or issuing agency, court date, whether appearance is required, plea, disposition, fine, payment status, and whether defensive driving or reinstatement is part of a plea agreement. It is not the same as a state Motor Vehicle Report.

Court Record vs DDS MVR
The court file and the Georgia DDS driving history answer different questions. The Probate or municipal court record shows what happened in the local citation case. The DDS Motor Vehicle Report shows driver-history data, license status, convictions reported to DDS, points, suspensions, and revocations. DDS point-system research says Georgia points range from 2 to 6, and a driver with 15 points in a 24-month period will have the license suspended.

Fees and DDS Issues
The research verified payment methods but did not verify a full Harris County traffic fine schedule or copy fee table. Do not infer a fine amount from the offense name alone. Probate Court says eligible fines can be paid online, by phone, or in person, and that personal checks are not accepted.
